RigSafeLens is built on a zero raw footage retention principle. We process video ephemeral in-memory at the edge, strictly avoid facial recognition, and maintain SOC 2 Type II certified data standards.
RigSafeLens adheres to a strict Ephemeral In-Memory Processing architecture. Video streams received from client jobsite IP cameras via RTSP or ONVIF protocols are decoded directly into volatile GPU memory buffers.
Video frames are evaluated by convolutional neural networks within 80 milliseconds and immediately discarded from RAM. At no point does RigSafeLens write continuous 24/7 raw video footage to permanent hard drives, edge appliances, or cloud storage.
Only when a confirmed safety violation occurs (such as an incursion beneath a moving crane boom or a worker within 6 feet of an unguarded void without a tie-off) does the appliance save a localized 3-second incident snapshot clip for OSHA compliance documentation.
RigSafeLens does not implement, license, or maintain facial recognition, iris scanning, thermal biometric profiling, or voiceprint identification technology.
Our neural detection models are trained solely on generic geometric object classification:
Our software complies fully with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 503, and European Union GDPR Article 9 requirements.
RigSafeLens undergoes continuous third-party penetration testing and maintains an active SOC 2 Type II certification covering Security, Confidentiality, and Processing Integrity.
RigSafeLens guarantees a 99.9% uptime availability for our cloud analytics dashboard and central alert routing pipeline. Edge appliances are engineered with local offline autonomy: if jobsite internet connectivity is lost, local sirens, in-cab buzzers, and local Wi-Fi tablet alerts continue to fire with zero latency degradation.
Clients retain 100% ownership of all incident metadata, OSHA compliance logs, and photographic audit records generated by their camera networks.
Verified safety incident snapshots and associated sensor telemetry are retained for a default duration of 36 months to satisfy OSHA record retention mandates (29 CFR 1904.33). General contractors may configure custom retention periods or trigger immediate cryptographic erasure upon project completion.
